Elijah has been working on actually crawling for the last week. He finally mastered it this afternoon. He thinks he's pretty big stuff crawling where he wants.

February Weekend
Wyatt loves holding Elijah and will pat his chest to tell us he's ready. It works pretty well now that Elijah can sit up by himself, Wyatt can just slide in behind him.
Hugs
and kisses
Elijah has started smiling when he sees my camera.
Wyatt wanted to see the pictures his Mama had taken.
Wyatt's Hugs
Wyatt loves Elijah and is so gentle with him. When we were down there the last week in February he kept hugging him, giving him kisses and patting him on the head. It was so very cute!
Taste of Our Home Tuesday: Tomato Macaroni Soup
Now that it has started to warm up a bit, I thought I should catch up and post a soup recipe. This will be for the snowstorm that invariably comes mid to late March when we are all ready for spring. This soup was very good and Justin didn't think twice before telling me to add it to the "make again list". It was very straight forward and easy to make as well. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (can be left out if you want)
1 onion, diced
3 (15 oz) cans beef broth (about 6 cups)
1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes
1 cup ketchup
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 cup shredded carrots (optional)
3 tablespoons A1 sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked
1 onion, diced
3 (15 oz) cans beef broth (about 6 cups)
1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes
1 cup ketchup
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 cup shredded carrots (optional)
3 tablespoons A1 sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked
Directions: In a skillet over medium high heat, brown hamburger and diced onions. Drain and set aside.
In a large stock pot, mix add beef broth, diced tomatoes, ketchup, tomato paste, carrots, A1, Worcestershire, basil, garlic powder, and salt and pepper and cook over medium high heat. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low. Add beef and onion and simmer for 10 minutes. Add cooked macaroni and serve.
This recipe came from Six Sisters' Stuff blog.

Taste of Our Home Tuesday: Lemon Lush
We had lunch with some friends after church this past Sunday and I tried out this Lemon Lush dessert. It was delicious!! Very light and springy! We are ready for spring here! Anyway I had seen this recipe on Pinterest and bought the ingredients to try it. I nearly substituted chocolate pudding for the lemon pudding, but in the end stuck with what the recipe originally called for. I'm very glad I did, however, the chocolate would be amazing as well. I had never had lemon pudding and was wondering if it would be really lemony, but it wasn't at all. It was a nice mild lemon flavor. The recipe definitely made the "Make Again List." Enjoy!
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter, softened
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
1 cup white sugar
2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant lemon pudding mix
3 1/2 cups milk
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a medium bowl, combine the flour and butter using a pastry cutter until a ball forms. Press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and well blended. Spread evenly over the cooled crust. In another bowl, whisk together the lemon pudding mix and milk for 3 to 5 minutes. Spread over the cream cheese layer. Chill until set, then top with whipped topping.

Beautiful Day!
Today has been absolutely gorgeous outside! I've been wanting to go for a walk so bad and I thought today was the day! Sadly it was a little too windy out here in the country to take Elijah up the road. We opted to play in the sun out of the wind.
Whenever he sees the camera now days he wants to touch it and tries to come get it.
His little heart breaks when he just can't quite make it.
He played in some rice for a little while but of course the bag was more fun.
Daddy came to play and then he was all smiles.
He was trying to figure out what I was doing down there.
We are so thankful for a beautiful day to play outside!!

Elijah Lee
I have gotten a little behind so I thought I'd post some videos I took clear back in January. (The first video is from today.) Elijah thinks it's hilarious when I hiccup at him.
