Thankful

All month at school we've been discussing the many things we have to be thankful for. Since I encouraged the kids to think about it, I thought it was only fair if I wrote down some things I'm thankful for.
  • A God who desires a living breathing relationship with me.
  • A husband who is a leader and follows hard after God.
  • A husband who loves me unconditionally.
  • A growing church family that is seeking God's plan for our future.
  • A family that will do anything for me (even if it means driving 2 hours to help out).
  • A wonderful second family that I was able to become a part of after marrying Justin.
  • Two wonderful women that love God and became my sisters when they married (will marry) my brothers.
  • My brothers that are always looking out for me.
  • Generation after generation of Godly grandparents, and great grandparents on both my Dad and Mom's side that passed on the importance of a relationship with God.
  • All of the material blessings God has given us.

I could just go on and on. God has truly blessed Justin and I!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Gobble Gobble

I made these turkey's with my kindergartners yesterday for snack. I must say for being 5 and 6 years old they did an amazing job. I gave them the cookies and candies they needed as well as bags of frosting. We went through it step by step and they "glued" their turkey's together. They had a great time making them, but I think their favorite part was the eating at the end.:)

Random Pictures of Fall

I bet you didn't know we have gold right behind our shed!

I took a walk in a near by pasture one day and took some pictures.

What an amazing sight to wake up to!

A Little Behind

I'm sad to admit I'm "slightly" behind on my blogging. The month of October flew by with something scheduled every weekend, and nearly each week night. I couldn't wait for November and a slower pace.....we're still racing!:)
One of the many things I was able to do last month was travel to Texas with a group of ladies from my home church. We drove down to Fort Worth, Texas for the True Woman Conference. It was a great weekend filled with laughter and tears as "us country girls" tried to find our way around Fort Worth and listened to Godly women speak on how to be a true woman in today's society. I believe that each of the amazing women that went had God touch her heart over the course of the weekend. To check out what all took place at the conference, click here.
The center were it all took place spanned 14 city blocks.
The buildings were amazing, but I was reminded why I love my quiet country home!

Headed to find some dinner.

Some poor fella got his foot stuck in the trunk.
Melissa decided to see if he was ticklish.
The Getty's were our praise and worship leaders. They have an amazing yet very unique sound, and know how to praise God! Check out their website here.

The last day we listened to a panel of the speakers discuss different topics.

The Star of Texas!
The group of ladies who went.
I had a great time! Thanks for letting me tag along!
